Everybody danced well into the night at The Addison in Boca Raton, FL after Danielle and Marc gave their vows, forever joining in love and marriage. I had a great time shooting the gorgeous, flowery wedding and the 1920’s-themed reception. I really enjoyed getting to know the couple. Their unique backstory and current life journey and goals are exciting. It was a pleasure looking in and capturing the images of such a momentous day.
The Couple and their Engagement
Danielle & Marc are both passionate for the company they own, and in love with all things fitness and health related, I could tell right away that these two were meant to be together. They met in middle school, where Danielle admits she had a crush on Marc, but denied all allegations because she was in 8th grade and he was in 6th and she didn’t want to be deemed “uncool”. Quite a while later in 2007, Danielle saw her chance to approach Marc when he walked into a restaurant she was at with a mutual friend of theirs. Going over to say hi, Danielle realized he wasn’t the same “Scrawny 6th grader” and was very attracted to him. After sitting down to catch up, day turned into night and the two had spent all evening together. The rest, she says, was history. In September of 2012, in the apartment they had recently moved into, Marc surprised Danielle with an arrangement of rare, blue, long-stemmed roses. After putting them on the table, Danielle turned around to see her beloved on one knee with a ring in his hand. Of course, she said yes. After all, she had had a crush on him since the 8th grade!
The Wedding Day
Such an exciting day. As Marc and the groomsmen got ready at Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort, the girls were all getting ready at Bombshell Makeover Studio. It was a perfect, Floridian January day: not a cloud in the sky, sunny, breezy, and a little chilly. Danielle was really keeping calm all day, which I’m told, is out of the ordinary. I give her kudos for that. The bridesmaids were the most emotional, but I’m sure it’s because they were so happy for their friend.
Under the beautiful Banyan trees in the courtyard of The Addison, the two came together to exchange vows and become one. Danielle looked stunning in her ballroom-style gown from Maggie Sottero. There were flowers everywhere– and I mean everywhere. They were on the chair ends of each aisle, where friends and family all gathered to watch this beautiful union. White peonies, hydrangeas, and roses everywhere. I loved the decor. As Danielle walked down the aisle as the electric cello played, all were captured at the beauty of the moment.
What a party. Everyone had a blast. The dancing lasted until 1:30 a.m. at the Great Gatsby-themed reception. The decorations included tables with black cloth, tall white and gold centerpieces, and gold and silver foiled chocolate stars strewn around for the guests to look at and enjoy. The first dance was to “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. It fit perfectly. After the amazing dinner and strawberry and champagne flavored cake, a photo-booth was set up in the clubroom of The Addison for some added fun. I got a lot of great pictures of everyone shaking their tails and having the time of their lives at this wonderful couple’s wedding.
After the Wedding
The newlyweds decided to postpone their honeymoon to go straight back to work. With the business they own expanding to New York, they are excited to meet their coming challenges. I am so happy for them. I wish them the best in their careers and their journey into matrimony.
